Blacksmithing Lessons

Introduction

Try your hand at forging! Learn the basics of blacksmithing and create functional pieces of ironwork! Below there are some examples of lessons and classes, but don’t feel limited to those listed below. If you want to learn how to make something different, we absolutely can!

There is a maximum of two students per class to ensure everyone receives all the instruction they need. Some personal protection equipment is available, but it is recommended to bring ones own if they have any. This includes eye protection, leather gloves, and ear protection.

Students will not be learning in a classroom, but in a working blacksmiths shop; some tools and objects may be sharp or hot. Anyone who enters a must be aware of what they touch. Students must wear cotton, or wool clothing (materials that are flame resistant), and closed toe shoes (preferably boots). Please read and sign the waiver before attending a lesson. Minors must be accompanied by a parent if they wish to take a lesson or class and must sign a special waiver.

Call or email to schedule a time or if you have any questions!
